Aylar Dianati Lie (Persian: ????? ???; born 12 February 1984)[1] is an Iranian-Norwegian actress, model, singer and former pornographic actress. She has been in the music industry as a music video actress and singer, having featured in several of Swedish DJ Basshunter's music videos. She became famous after participating in the Norwegian Big Brother. She moved to Norway when she was 3 years old. After arriving in Norway, her parents separated and Aylar was placed in the custody of the Child Protective Services. After a few years she was taken into the foster care system. Aylar had moved eighteen times before she began elementary school, and until finally she found foster parents. Her biological mother had moved to the United States, while her father remained in constant struggle with the Norwegian authorities.[2] She is fluent in Norwegian, Persian and English.

but was disqualified from the contest when it was found she had starred in adult films; candidates to the pageant must not have been pictured naked in any commercial production or publication. Her adult film career has made her the target of much criticism and prevented her from visiting her father in Iran. In a July 2010 interview, Lie stated that she "sorely regrets" having engaged in pornographic acting. She explained that the choice was made while she was going through a difficult time of her life, and she wished she could "erase that from [her] past".[3] She also denied that she was banned from entering her native Iran because of her pornographic background.[3] Her plans for 2006 included the promotion of her hand-picked team of models, called Team Aylar. The members of Team Aylar originally included Elita Löfblad, Charlotte Fredriksen, Linn Irene (Linni) Meister, Cathrine Aschim, and Lisa Marie Winther.[4] Appearances Lie participated in the 6th season of Skal vi danse?, the Norwegian version of the British series Strictly Come Dancing. When Danish media ran a headline focusing on her past as a porn actress[5] she expressed sadness and strong distress and that she was tired of being linked to events ten years in her past, although she acknowledged she may have to live with this part of her life being repeatedly brought to the surface. She pointed out that what took place in Los Angeles happened during a period of crisis in her personal life and that she has repeatedly attempted to clean the slate with regard to this.[6] She was signed to Hard2Beat, after which she released the single "Some People", which features Ocean Drive and DJ Oriska.[7] Aylar was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1984 and came to Norway at the age of three. Due to a turbulent domestic situation she was taken away from her parents and grew up in foster care. Although she moved from Iran at an early age, she has always felt strong ties to her Persian roots and great love for her foster parents as well as her biological parents. At the age of 16 she was invited to Iran on holiday by her biological father. Her father had nearly lost contact with her, with him living abroad in Iran. What started out as a short vacation in Iran to regain lost family ties turned out to be a nightmare: she was kept in Iran against her will for nearly two years. After finally managing to escape Iran and return to Norway, a time of desperation began. She wanted to trace her roots and regain her lost contact with her biological mother in the US but this decision was to change Aylar's life for good. Within two months of living in the USA, Aylar was plunged into a world dominated by drugs, pornography and abuse. After nearly overdosing on drugs, she finally understood that the time had come to change her life if she wanted to stay alive. She returned to Norway seeking medical care and the safety of her foster parents. After medical treatment and regaining her self-confidence, she decided to enter the Miss Norway (Frøken Norge) pageant in the summer of 2004. With her growing success in the competition, unfortunately rumors started to spread about her past. Just as she had made it among the top 10 finalists, the media got hold of proof of her participation in adult entertainment, which led to her being disqualified (this was the first time the Miss Norway pageant had experienced such an event) and Aylar and her life story got enormous media coverage. Her disqualification and past being exposed in the media was an enormous personal setback. Within a very short period Aylar decided to get breast implants, created the concept of her self as "Aylar" and brought together a team of beautiful and talented models in her "Team Aylar". Soon she went on to represent the quintessence of the phrase "glamour model" in Norway. In 2005, she decided to have her breast implants removed, and put the role of being a national tease on the shelf. In December 2005, she was featured in the Sunblock music video "First Time". By the summer of 2006 she had made a cover song of the popular eighties pop song "Boys Boys Boys", which sold out six times platinum. What was originally supposed to be a summer gig turned out to whet her appetite for following her dream of being an artist Filmography Feature films 2009: Dådyr 2010: Yohan: The Child Wanderer Music videos 2007: Basshunter – "Now You're Gone" 2007: Yousef feat. And so it's just passé at this juncture".[45] Hefner agreed with the decision.[46] The redesigned Playboy, however, would still feature a Playmate of the Month and pictures of women, but they would be rated as not appropriate for children under 13.[46] The move would not affect PlayboyPlus.com (which features nudity at a paid subscription).[47] Josh Horwitz of Quartz argued that the motivation for the decision to remove nudity from the magazine was to give Playboy Licensing a less inappropriate image in India and China, where the brand is a popular item on apparel and thus generates significant revenue.[48] Among other changes to the magazine included ending the popular jokes section and the various cartoons that appeared throughout the magazine. The redesign eliminated the use of jump copy (articles continuing on non-consecutive pages), which in turn eliminated most of the space for cartoons.[49] Hefner, himself a former cartoonist, reportedly resisted dropping the cartoons more than the nudity, but ultimately obliged. Playboy's plans were to market itself as a competitor to Vanity Fair, as opposed to more traditional competitors GQ and Maxim.[43] Playboy announced in February 2017, however, that the dropping of nudity had been a mistake and furthermore, for its March/April issue, reestablished some of its franchises, including the Playboy Philosophy and Party Jokes, but dropped the subtitle "Entertainment for Men", inasmuch as gender roles have evolved. The announcement was made by the company's chief creative officer on Twitter with the hashtag #NakedIsNormal.[50] In 2017, the magazine announced that it would become a bi-monthly publication.[51] In early 2018, and according to Jim Puzzanghera of the Los Angeles Times, Playboy was reportedly "considering killing the print magazine", as the publication "has lost as much as $7 million annually in recent years".[52] However, in the July/August 2018 issue a reader asked if the print magazine would discontinue, and Playboy responded that it was not going anywhere. In September 2018, the magazine announced that it would move to publishing quarterly, beginning in 2019.[53] Online-only In March 2020, Ben Kohn, CEO of Playboy Enterprises, announced that the Spring 2020 issue would be the last regularly scheduled printed issue and that the magazine would now publish its content online. The decision to close the print edition was attributed in part to the COVID-19 pandemic which interfered with distribution of the magazine.[54] Circulation history and statistics The best-selling Playboy edition was the November 1972 edition, which sold 7,161,561 copies. One-quarter of all American college men were buying or subscribing to the magazine every month.[55] On the cover was model Pam Rawlings, photographed by Rowland Scherman. Perhaps coincidentally, a cropped image of the issue's centerfold (which featured Lena Söderberg) became a de facto standard image for testing image processing algorithms. It is known simply as the "Lenna" (also "Lena") image in that field.[56] In 1970, Playboy became the first gentleman's magazine to be printed in braille.[57] It is also one of the few magazines whose microfilm format was in color, not black and white.[58] Features and format Rabbit logo A Playboy cigarette lighter with the distinctive rabbit logo Playboy's iconic and enduring mascot, a stylized silhouette of a rabbit wearing a tuxedo bow tie, was created by Playboy art director Art Paul for the second issue as an endnote, but was adopted as the official logo and has appeared ever since.[59][60] A running joke in the magazine involves hiding the logo somewhere in the cover art or photograph. Hefner said he chose the rabbit for its "humorous sexual connotation", and because the image was "frisky and playful". In an interview Hefner explained his choice of a rabbit as Playboy's logo to the Italian journalist Oriana Fallaci: The rabbit, the bunny, in America has a sexual meaning; and I chose it because it's a fresh animal, shy, vivacious, jumping - sexy. First it smells you then it escapes, then it comes back, and you feel like caressing it, playing with it. A girl resembles a bunny. Joyful, joking. Consider the girl we made popular: the Playmate of the Month. She is never sophisticated, a girl you cannot really have. She is a young, healthy, simple girl - the girl next door ... we are not interested in the mysterious, difficult woman, the femme fatale, who wears elegant underwear, with lace, and she is sad, and somehow mentally filthy. The Playboy girl has no lace, no underwear, she is naked, well washed with soap and water, and she is happy.[61] Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Kylie Bax wearing a Playboy shirt, Donald Trump, Bill Clinton and Melania Trump. The jaunty rabbit was quickly made into a popular symbol of extroverted male culture, becoming a lucrative source of merchandizing revenue for Playboy.[62] In the 1950s, it was adopted as the military aircraft insignia for the Navy's VX-4 fighter-evaluation squadron. The Playboy Interview Besides its centerfold, a major part of Playboy for much of its existence has been the Playboy Interview, an extensive (usually several thousand-word) discussion between a notable individual and an interviewer (historian Alex Haley, for example, served as a Playboy interviewer on a few occasions; one of his interviews was with Martin Luther King Jr.; he also interviewed Malcolm X and American Nazi Party founder George Lincoln Rockwell in the April 1966 issue,[citation needed] then coauthored Malcolm X's autobiography). One of the magazine's most notable interviews was a discussion with then-presidential candidate Jimmy Carter in the November 1976 issue, in which he stated "I've committed adultery in my heart many times."[63][64] David Sheff's interview with John Lennon and Yoko Ono appeared in the January 1981 issue, which was on newsstands at the time of Lennon's murder; the interview was later published in book format. Another interview-type section, entitled "20Q" (a play on the game of Twenty Questions), was added in October 1978. Cheryl Tiegs was the first interviewee for the section.[65] Rock the Rabbit "Rock the Rabbit" was an annual music news and pictorial feature published in the March edition.[66] The pictorial featured images of rock bands photographed by music photographer Mick Rock. Fashion designers participated in the Rock the Rabbit event by designing T-shirts inspired by Playboy's rabbit head logo for each band. The shirts were sold at Playboy's retailers and auctioned off to raise money for AIDS at LIFEbeat: The Music Industry Fights AIDS.[66] Notable bands who were featured include: MGMT, Daft Punk, Iggy Pop, Duran Duran, Flaming Lips, Snow Patrol, and The Killers.[67] Photographers
